FAQs About
Membership
We put together the answers to the questions everyone is asking!
Q: What does being the primary member mean?
The primary member is the main "named adult" contact associated with the membership. This person will be the museum’s first point of contact for any issues, comments or concerns.
Q: What is an additional adult on my membership?
The additional adult is the second "named adult" on the membership who is also authorized to use it. Two "named adults" are included in family memberships.
Q: Can I add more than two adults to my membership?
Yes! You can add extra "named adults" to your membership for $25 each, up to a total of four adults per membership. These added adults can use the membership without the primary member being present.
Q: What will your hours of operations be once you open?
Our hours of operation will be Wednesday-Saturday: 10am-4:30pm; Sundays from 10am-3pm.
Q: When can I book birthday parties and field trips?
Birthday parties and field trips will be available starting in June. Information about booking will be shared in April.
Q: Does my membership include discounts at any other museums?
When you purchase a UCM membership, you qualify for the Association of Children's Museums' reciprocal museum program. This program provides a 50% discount on general admission for up to six people at participating museums. The cardholder must be present to receive the discounted admission, and you must show a copy of your membership card for verification.
Q: Why does my receipt show my membership starting on the day I purchased it if I haven't visited yet?
Your membership will be activated on your first museum visit. However, your receipt will display an expiration date of one year from the purchase date. You will see the date updated on your account after your first visit.
Q: Is there a physical membership card? Do I need it on me when I visit?
No, the museum does not issue physical membership cards. When you purchase a membership, you will receive a digital version. You can present either the digital card or your photo ID when visiting the museum. You can also add it to your Apple or Google Wallet.
