1. Tell us about yourself and why you wanted to join the Utica Children’s Museum team!
I was very excited to be a part of the team and to be a good inspiration for the kids I get to work with! I wanted to work for the Utica Children’s Museum because not only is it a fulfilling job, it is very fun and I look forward to going to work every time.
2. Everyone brings something special to the team! What unique qualities or experiences do you bring to the UCM team that will help bring great experiences to children and families?
I think everyone that works with the Utica Children’s Museum team is extremely important, and makes it a truly great environment! Every time I come to work I’m sure to bring a bright and inviting personality. I think this is always important because it makes the kids feel welcome to exploring what the museum has to offer, and makes them feel comfortable in expressing their unique personalities.
3. Why do you believe Children’s Museums are important to communities?
I believe that children’s museums are extremely important because they provide an environment to bring communities together, especially with the opportunity to watch future generations express themselves and come together. These museums also gives the children a chance to play in a stimulating environment and have the opportunity to expand and practice their social skills with talking and making new friends!
4. When you’re not entertaining kids with the Mobile Museum, what activities or hobbies do you do for FUN?!
When I’m not working with the mobile museum I really enjoy cooking, whether that’s new foods or just a good home cooked meal for my family. I also prioritize and enjoy relaxing at the end of the day with a good show or movie after all of my stuff is done! A few of my favorites are The Secret Life of Pets and Barbie. I am a very crafty person I enjoy painting and using clay to make pottery, as well as any craft you throw at me!
5. What was your favorite thing to do or play with as a kid?
As a kid I really loved to create dances and songs with my friends as a way to express my creativity. I also really enjoyed the park as a kid and pretty much anything outdoors.
6. Give us 3 random fun facts about yourself!
